Overview

I designed and built an ecommerce website for Daves Used Plants around the needs of the brand, its audience, and its commercial goals. The project brought clearer structure to the site while creating a more assured visual presentation for visitors.

As a live ecommerce site, it needed to balance product discovery with a straightforward path through the wider offer. The work combined website redesign, product-focused UX, and SEO structure to create a more useful foundation for the business online.

This approach reflects my work in custom website design, where structure and presentation are shaped around how people need to use a site.

The Challenge

Daves Used Plants needed a website that could communicate its offer clearly and credibly without making visitors work to find their way around. The existing digital presence needed stronger structure, clearer messaging, and a more confident presentation.

The site also needed to support product browsing on different screen sizes and provide a sound basis for search visibility. I needed to create a journey that made the offer easier to understand while keeping the experience practical for potential customers.

The Solution

I created a responsive ecommerce website with a clearer page structure and a stronger visual hierarchy. The design was shaped to help visitors understand the offer quickly, explore products more easily, and move through the site with less friction.

I also organised the content with SEO in mind, giving the site a cleaner structure for search while supporting the wider user journey. This is central to my approach to SEO-friendly web design: making a website useful for people first, with a well-organised foundation for search.

The build focused on product UX, responsive presentation, and conversion-aware page organisation rather than adding unnecessary complexity.

The Result

The launched website gives Daves Used Plants a clearer and more confident online presence. Visitors now have a more structured route through the offer, with improved presentation across devices and content arranged to support understanding and product exploration.

The project provides a practical ecommerce foundation designed to support future growth, search visibility, and customer enquiries. For another example of how I approach clear, structured websites, see the HydroVita case study.
