A Wix website can be perfectly good when a business is starting out. The problem usually comes later, when the company has grown but the website has not grown with it.
Maybe the design no longer reflects the quality of your work. Maybe new services have been added without a clear structure. The site might be difficult to update, slow on mobile, weak in search, or simply feel like it belongs to an earlier version of the business.
I redesign Wix websites for businesses that have reached that point.
That does not automatically mean moving away from Wix. If the platform still suits what you need, I can improve the design, content structure, user experience and search foundations without creating unnecessary technical work.
If Wix has genuinely become a limitation, I can also rebuild the website on WordPress or another more suitable setup while protecting the useful parts of the existing site.
A redesign should fix more than the way the site looks
Changing fonts, colours and images can make a website feel newer, but that does not necessarily make it better.
A useful redesign starts by looking at how the website currently works:
Can visitors quickly understand what the business does?
Are the most important services easy to find?
Does the site make it obvious what someone should do next?
Does it work properly on mobile?
Is useful existing content being buried?
Are there pages that should be attracting search traffic but are not?
Has the site become harder to manage as the business has grown?
The redesign can then focus on the things that are actually holding the site back rather than simply replacing one Wix design with another.
Staying on Wix can still be the right decision
I am not interested in moving a website away from Wix just for the sake of it.
For some businesses, Wix still provides everything the website needs. In that case, the better option may simply be to redesign the existing site properly.
That could include improving page layouts, navigation, mobile usability, calls to action, content hierarchy, service pages and SEO foundations while keeping the existing platform.
The goal is to make the website work better for the business, not to introduce a more complicated setup without a reason.
When moving away from Wix makes more sense
There are also situations where redesigning within Wix would only postpone the underlying problem.
You may need more control over the website structure, more advanced functionality, a different content-management workflow, custom integrations or greater flexibility around future development.
In those situations I can rebuild the site on a more appropriate platform rather than trying to force Wix to do something it was not intended to do.
Where a migration is involved, I look carefully at the existing website before anything changes. Useful pages, content, URLs and search visibility should be considered as part of the rebuild rather than simply starting again.
Protecting the SEO value you already have
One of the biggest mistakes during a website redesign is assuming that an existing site has no value because the design is outdated.
Even an imperfect Wix website may already have pages indexed by Google, backlinks, rankings, search impressions and URLs people have bookmarked or shared.
A redesign should account for that.
Depending on the project, this can include reviewing existing URLs, identifying useful content, improving page structure, mapping redirects where URLs need to change, preserving important metadata and checking the rebuilt website before and after launch.
The aim is not to preserve every old decision. It is to avoid throwing away useful search equity unnecessarily.
Designed around the business you have now
A website that worked when you first launched may no longer represent the company you operate today.
You might now have more services, better projects, stronger photography, clearer positioning or a much better understanding of the customers you actually want.
A redesign is an opportunity to bring the website back into line with the business.
That means deciding what deserves attention, what can be simplified, what should be removed and where stronger proof or clearer information would make the biggest difference.
